JMA Solutions, a leading government contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration, has a full-time opportunity for a Senior level Engineer providing engineering assistance to the National Airspace System (NAS) Engineering Air Route Radar Systems and NAS Defense Programs (NDP) located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will provide a wide range of technical solutions to improve/enhance system performance and lengthen service life of radar systems (e.g., CARSR, ARSR-4, and emerging technologies). Determines technical requirements for functional improvements or major system enhancements. Develops and provides guidance for system users and other technical support staff on system functionality and support requirements. The ideal candidate for this position will be detail oriented, able to work independently, highly self-motivated, and a team leader.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
• Research and design hardware or enhancements to existing systems.
• Provide support for hardware development, distribution, and installation.
• Develop and execute detailed plans, schedules, and related activities to test and validate system functionality.
• Perform design engineering reviews of hardware design data to ensure compliance with established criteria.
• Conduct analysis, design, build, and testing in support of proposed acquisitions.
• Ensure hardware changes are implemented thoroughly to enhance future maintainability.
• Provide quality control and quality assurance support to ensure all hardware designs meet government, industry, FCC EMC, UL,
Surge, ESD, MIL, and NAS standards during modifications and retrofits.
• Develop Operations and Maintenance manuals.
• Maintain inventory for operational firmware and documentation for assigned hardware.
• Participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), and
Functional Configuration Audits (FCA).
• Attend meetings and conferences as required in the acquisition and life cycle process, providing responses to action items as
needed.
• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware/software for the long-range radar systems.
• Develop, test, validate, and verify hardware/software/network modifications for long-range radars.
• Identify and resolve hardware/software/network issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure hardware/software systems are designed to support organizational goals.
• Develop status reports, procedures, and documentation for Technical Instruction (TI) books related to hardware/software
modifications or new designs.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and technologies to ensure the organization leverages current technology.
